GENEVA, Ohio - Competing in the Hammer Throw of the NCAA Division-III Outdoor National Championships for the fourth consecutive season, Carroll grad senior Jimmy Hinkley finished 11th out of the 22 competitors to earn Second Team All-American honors. That comes one year after Hinkley's first All-American performance of his career, which saw him achieve First Team honors with an eighth place finish in 2024.

A native of Grayslake, Ill., Hinkley faulted on his first attempt on Saturday, before recording a toss of 55.51 (182-01) on his second attempt. He would top that mark on his third and final throw with a season-best mark of 58.64 (192-05), which was good for 11th place on the day.
