Pioneer Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Carroll University Baseball has been recognized for its success in the classroom, earning the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. The honor is awarded to high school and collegiate baseball programs that achieve a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the academic year. 

The Pioneers were among nearly 500 collegiate programs nationwide recognized by the ABCA this year. In total, more than 800 high school and college baseball programs received the award, highlighting a continued commitment to academic achievement across the sport.

To qualify for the award, programs must be led by a current ABCA member head coach and post a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. 

The recognition continues a strong tradition of academic excellence within the Carroll baseball program. The Pioneers have consistently been recognized by the ABCA for their success in the classroom, reflecting the dedication of the program's student-athletes to achieving excellence both academically and athletically. 

The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for amateur baseball coaches and honors programs annually through its Team Academic Excellence Award. Along with recognizing academic achievement, the association annually presents its All-America, All-Region, Coach of the Year, Hall of Fame, and other national awards.
