WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll Athletics is proud to recognize senior golfer Grant Naumann and sophomore goalkeeper Ava Lewandowski as this week's Pioneers of the Week after both delivered standout performances to help lead their teams during a busy opening week of competition.

Grant Naumann (Sr. | Oconomowoc, Wis.) | Men's Golf

Naumann helped lead Carroll men's golf to one of the best performances in program history at the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic. The senior matched the program's 18-hole scoring record with a bogey-free 68 (-3) in the opening round before finishing tied for sixth overall with an even-par 142 over 36 holes. His record-tying round highlighted a weekend in which the Pioneers posted a school-record 36-hole team score of 586 and finished third in a talented 20-team field. Naumann's performance set the tone for Carroll's historic showing and helped establish a new program benchmark early in the fall season.

Ava Lewandowski (So. | Elmhurst, Ill.) | Women's Soccer

Lewandowski anchored the Pioneer defense with a stellar week in goal, helping Carroll earn a pair of draws while keeping the team competitive against a strong slate of opponents. The sophomore goalkeeper played all 270 minutes across three matches, recording 20 saves, a .909 save percentage, and a 0.67 goals-against average. She produced one of the week's most memorable performances against Dubuque, stopping two penalty kicks to preserve a draw, and followed that by helping Carroll earn another result against MSOE. Lewandowski also limited receiving votes UW-La Crosse to a single goal in a narrow 1-0 defeat, consistently providing game-changing saves throughout the week.
