The Champions4Life Fund supports the success of Carroll athletics by providing funding for special initiatives not supported with operating dollars. These initiatives support our student-athlete by making possible the tools and experiences they need to excel.
RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The 2024-2025 academic year marks the 13th full year of the Champions4Life Program. The kindness and generosity of our many supporters played a substantial part in the improvements that we were able to provide to the nearly 600 student-athletes in our 23-sport program. Last year it funded several initiatives which improved and enhanced our programs:
Hudl Package
Modern technology has made game film break downs easier than ever, and the department wide Hudl package has helped significantly. Each team has access to the online film database, Hudl. Hudl stores game and practice footage and allows coaches and players to edit the film to enhance the way they practice and play. Hudl provides complimentary highlights and software to let coaches focus on coaching, while Hudl woks in the background.
Hudl provided a revolutionary camera, that was mounted inside Van Male Field House. The camera works on the coach's schedule to record practice and games at multiple angles. The camera has come in handy for the gopios.com live streaming as well. The unmanned camera locates the motion on the court and moves on its own, so fans don't miss a bit of the action while watching the game from home.
Locker Room Enhancements
Our locker rooms have been renovated with outstanding branding and technology. The photos of our past and present Pioneers show how far we've come as a program, and how we reach for the future of Pioneer athletics. TVs and displays provides coaches with a way to quickly draw attention in the locker room, while athletes can enjoy entertainment pregame in their exclusive space.
Field Branding
Kilgour Field has never looked better. Updated blue wind screens give the classic softball diamond the feel of a championship level program. NCAA Division III and College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin logos pay tribute to the league affiliations. The Go Pios along the front of the home dugout pay tribute to who we are as a team, and department.
Pioneer Athletics wishes to thank everyone who has given us their support over the past year, and we hope that on your next visit to our facilities you have the opportunity to see just how that support is being used to benefit our student-athletes and programs.
On behalf of Carroll University Athletics,
Thank you!
