Greg Wood is entering his first season with the Pioneers in 2019. He comes to Carroll from Palatine High School(Palatine, Illinois) where he was a part time coach with the specialists. Greg graduated from Valparaiso University in Dec 2012 as a 3 year starting punter for the football program where he earned All-Conference honors all 3 years, 2 as a Unanimous first team selection. He was also named the team’s MVP in 2010 when he finished with the 3rd best average in the country and honorable mention All-American honors. After graduation, Greg was invited to Chicago Bears Rookie Mini Camp in 2013 and continued to pursue professional football until a career ending injury in 2014. Since then, Greg has utilized his finance degree in the corporate world with analytics and marketing roles with multiple companies as well as played professional basketball in the ABA. Greg is originally from Libertyville, IL where he graduated from Libertyville High School as a 2-sport athlete in football and basketball.”
