James Weber

James Weber begins his third season as assistant coach for the Carroll University men's basketball program. This year he will also fulfill graduate assistant duties as he pursues his master's degree in Education at Carroll.

Weber is a 2009 sociology graduate of Beloit College and was a three-year member of the basketball team. During his time on the basketball team, he led the Buccaneers in field-goal percentage in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008.

Three years ago, Weber was a member of the Sun Prairie High School coaching staff that won its first regional championship since 1999. Two summers ago, he coached in the Wisconsin Playground Warriors AAU program, where the team compiled a record of 58-9.

"I'm happy to have James returning to our program," said Buchanan. "He has a sincere interest in coaching at the college level and will get a chance to increase his role in player development, recruiting and scouting opponents. It is also an extra benefit that he is familiar with the league and the Madison area for recruiting. We’ve had success recruiting new areas with James on board, and his relationships have allowed us to bring in players that we couldn’t have before.”
