Kevin Hurd enters his 2nd year on the Pioneers men's basketball coaching staff for the 2020-21 season. Previously, Hurd was an assistant coach for UW-Stevens Point for four seasons. With the Pointers, Hurd and the team captured a WIAC Championship, a Sweet 16 appearance, and two seasons of 15+ wins.
In 2014-15, Hurd was a graduate assistant at Division II Minot State of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, where he completed his MBA in the summer of 2016.
Hurd was also a player at Carroll from 2010-2014. As a four-year starter, Hurd became a three-year captain and a three-time All-Midwest Conference player. He ranks near the top in several categories at Carroll including: 3-pointers made in a season, 3-pointers made in a career, career 3-point percentage and career wins. As a sophomore, Hurd led the Pioneers on an improbable run to the NCAA round of 32 after upsetting the top two seeds in the Midwest Conference tournament to claim a conference championship. It was the first time in league history that a 4-seed had won the tournament.
Hurd is originally from Portage, Wisconsin, and currently resides in Waukesha.
