Amanda Osterhus

Amanda Osterhus returns to Carroll for her first year as the Graduate Assistant pitching coach for the softball team. Osterhus spent her collegiate career as a Carroll softball player, earning conference and national recognition for her pitching. 
 
Osterhus is Carroll’s all-time pitching leader for ERA (1.66) and strikeouts (724). She is the first Carroll pitcher to record more than 500 career strikeouts. Osterhus also leads Carroll’s single season pitching records for ERA and strikeouts. She has been recognized in many national rankings throughout her career including strikeouts, strikeouts per seven innings, shutouts, and hits allowed per seven innings. Osterhus finished her career by tossing three no-hitters in the 2021 season. 
 
Osterhus is a 2x NFCA First-Team All-Region, 2x CCIW Pitcher of the Year, 3x CCIW First-Team All-Conference, 1x CCIW Second-Team All-Conference, and 1x CCIW Newcomer of the Year. She is also a 2x CCIW Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference member. Osterhus earned Division III Wilson/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week honors in 2020. She was also named Carroll University’s Athlete of the Year in a Female Sport in 2021.
 
Amanda graduated from Carroll in 2020 with a degree in Healthcare Administration. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Business Administration. Osterhus is a great addition to the coaching staff and her skills will be utilized by working primarily with the pitchers and catchers.
