Amy Gradecki

Amy Gradecki is in her 16th year as head softball coach at Carroll University for the 2025 season. She is in her second stint on Carroll’s staff, having served as an assistant coach in the mid-90s under then head coach Darla Wack. Gradecki re-joined the Pioneer staff after nine successful seasons at the helm of the Wilmot Union High School softball program where she amassed over 100 victories.

Gradecki’s Pioneers have earned many individual accolades over the past 13 seasons, including 20 All-Midwest Conference honorees, 51 Academic All-Midwest Conference selections and a Pitcher of the Year award. In the CCIW, 29 of her players have been selected to the All-Conference team, including a pitcher of the year and a newcomer of the year. Three players have been selected to the All-Region team during her tenure.

Carroll has won 260 games in Gradecki’s 15 seasons at the helm of the Pioneers' softball program, and several of her players have broken school records and earned national recognition in many statistical categories. That includes Amanda Osterhus, the only Carroll softball player to record over 700 strikeouts in a career. Gradecki was named MWC North Division Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2014, and her squad was awarded the prestigious MWC Sportsmanship Award in 2011.

Gradecki enjoyed a stellar two-sport career at UW-Stevens Point, where she competed in both basketball and softball, earning All-WIAC honors on the hardwood.
