Kelly returns to Carroll for her sixth year as the Pioneer hitting & infield coach. Kelly played softball her first two years at a Division II Junior College, Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, IA. Sykes then transferred to Carroll where she finished her career in standout fashion. At Ellsworth, Kelly averaged a .382 batting average. She earned All- Region honors both her freshman and sophomore years.
Sykes then transferred to Carroll and started all 76 games at third base. Kelly finished her four-year career with a .338 batting average, 154 hits, 39 doubles, 5 home runs, 81 RBIs, 87 runs, and 142 career starts. Sykes is among the top five leaders for single season records for total bases, runs batted in, hits, doubles, assists, and batting average. She finished her final game as a Pioneer going 3-3 with three RBIs and a home run against Lake Forest College.
Kelly graduated from Carroll in 2016 with a degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Education in 2020. Kelly works full-time as a Franchise Consultant at Board & Brush Creative Studio in Hartland, WI. She is a great asset to the team, the players, and the program as a whole. Â
