The 2025-26 school year marks Sara Tuescher's second season as an assistant coach with Carroll's women's lacrosse team. Tuescher has 16 years of coaching experience at various levels during her career.
Originally from Hartland, Wis., Tuescher is the Program Director for Milwaukee Elite Lacrosse Club and head coach of one of the national teams for the BlackLax Lacrosse Club. Her previous coaching stints also include the Wisconsin National Team at the US Lacrosse Tournament in Long Island, N.Y., beginning a high school girls' lacrosse team and youth program in Holmen, Wis., coaching varsity reserve girls' field hockey at Arrowhead High School, running summer lacrosse programming through the Hartland/Lakeside school district, and leading lacrosse clinics with Hot4Lax.
A graduate of UW-LaCrosse with a degree in secondary education and double minor in history and political science, Tuescher played a key role on the Eagles' club team. As a midfielder, Tuescher set school records for single season and career points. As a player, she held the position of team captain and club president, while helping to turn a fledgling program into a competitive team.
After graduating from UW-LaCrosse, Tuescher returned to her alma mater, Arrowhead High School, to join the school's Girls' Lacrosse coaching. During her tenure as an assistant coach, Arrowhead captured seven state championships and one state championship runner-up. Tuescher became head coach of that program in 2022, leading them to three sectional final appearances in three years, and another state championship in 2023.
Tuescher currently resides in Waukesha County with her husband Randy and their two kids, Beau and Edith.
