Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -,Carroll University (5-5) swept Illinois College late Saturday night by final scores of 6-2 and 10-4.

In the opener, Carroll would take the lead in the second as AJ Johnson would double off the wall in left field and score on a Hunter Frey two-out RBI single., Back-to-back doubles in the third from Dylan Grove and Alex Olson would jump start the offense as the Pios would push the lead to 3-0.

After seeing the lead cut to 3-1, Carroll would add three more runs in the top of the sixth, with Tyler Schovanec driving in a run on double down the left field line to push the lead to 6-1.

Senior Tyler Robers (2-1) would have plenty of run support as he would dominate the Blueboy bats,working,a complete game allowing only two runs on six hits while striking out seven on the evening.

In the nightcap, it would be more of the same as the Pios would score six runs in the first two innings to jump out to the 6-1 lead., Illinois College would battle back to with in a pair of runs at 6-4, however the Carroll bats would answer with four runs of their own in the final two innings to push the final score to 10-4.

Senior Dylan Grove would lead the offense finishing 2x4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Senior Kevin Dineen (2-1),would work a complete game giving up just three earned runs on six hits while striking out six to earn the win.

Coach Rear was pleased with the team's performance, "We battled early and we were able to put pressure on the IC defense and force them into some defensive mistakes that really hurt them., Pitching wise Kevin and Tyler were great on the mound and gave us a great opportunity to win tonight.",
