Box Score 2 MT. VERNON, Iowa - Carroll University (6-7) dropped both ends of their double-header on Saturday afternoon at Cornell College, 3-0 and 9-4.

Offensively, Aaron Roth and Kyle Sykes would collect a pair of hits for Carroll.
Game two would see Cornell take the early 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Pioneers would respond with three runs in the top of the fourth on an RBI double by Clayton Schmitt and a two RBI single off the bat of Hunter Frey to take their first lead of the day 3-2.
Carroll would add another run in the fifth as Brady Durni would score from third on an RBI ground out by Dylan Grove to push the lead to 4-2.
That's when the wheels would fall off defensively for the Pios as they would give up seven runs over the next two innings, only two earned, on five errors.
