Box Score WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll University (10-14, 3-1 MWC) saw a close game blown wide open during an eight run sixth inning as they fell at home on Wednesday night to Concordia University-Wisconsin 15-2.
Making his first collegiate start, Carter Howard managed to work out of trouble early and worked five and two-thirds innings and left the game with the Pioneers trailing 2-0. However, before the third out could be recorded in the fifth Concordia would plate eight runs all after two outs were recorded in the inning. The Pio bullpen struggled on the night as they surrendered eleven runs over two and a third innings.
Carroll will hope to rebound as they get back to Midwest Conference play hosting Lawrence University on Saturday at 1pm.
