Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 RIPON, Wis. -  Carroll University (13-21, 6-8 MWC) dropped a pair of games on Saturday at Ripon College, 11-1 and 5-4.

Game one Ripon got out of the gate building a 6-0 lead after three innings and wouldn't look back as they cruised to the easy 11-1 win.

In the second game, Carroll would rebound and take the early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Tyler Schovanec would lead off with a ringing double to center and score on a Clayton Schmitt double to left-center two batters later.  Following an Alex Olson single to put runners at the corners, Schmitt would score on a failed pick-off attempt.

AJ Johnson would lead off the fourth inning with a single and later score on a RBI single by Hunter Frey to push the Pio lead to 3-0.

Ripon would battle back scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut the lead to 3-2.  With the bases still loaded and nobody out,  Zach Wiseman would releive starter Carl Formento.  Wiseman would pick-off a runner at first and strike out two batters to get the Pioneers out of the jam clinging to the 3-2 lead.

In the seventh, the Pioneers couldn't escape trouble as a two-out bases clearing double gave Ripon the 5-3 lead.

Carroll would rally in the ninth inning as Johnson would lead off the inning with a double and score with two out to cut the lead to 5-4, but the Pios couldn't push across the tying run and dropped the second game of the double dip.

Carroll will close out their season as they honor their six seniors on Sunday.  The Pioneers will host Ripon College at 1pm in at Frame Park.
