EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost two nonconference duals at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Triangular on Saturday.
Carroll, which dropped to 5-13 overall, lost a gritty five-set battle in the opener to College of St. Scholastica (25-22, 20-25, 25-15, 17-25, 15-13) and fell in the finale to UW-Eau Claire (25-16, 25-16, 25-20).
Junior outside hitter Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) had a team-high 17 kills and eight blocks for Carroll versus College of St. Scholastica. Sophomore middle blocker Karley Wolf (Rosele, Ill.) contributed 10 kills and five blocks with freshman middle blocker Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) collecting 11 blocks for the Pioneers. Sophomore outside hitter Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) had 20 digs and freshman setter Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added 29 assists.
Voltolina had a team-high seven kills for Carroll versus UW-Eau Claire. Wolf followed with six kills while freshman outside hitter Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) had five kills and 11 digs for the Pioneers. Przeslicke had 21 assists.
