LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost two nonconference dual matches at the University La Crosse Tournament on Saturday.
The Pioneers, who dropped to 7-19 overall, fell in the opening round to University of Wisconsin-Stout (25-20, 2515, 23-25, 25-20) and in the finale to No. 10-ranked UW-La Crosse (25-17, 25-16, 25-19).
Junior outside hitter Dana Voltolina (St, Charles, Ill.) and sophomore middle blocker Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) each contributed a team-high 10 kills versus UW-Stout. Freshman outside hitter Kylie Mueller (Fox Lake, Ill.) had 12 digs, freshman middle blocker Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis) followed with eight blocks and freshman setter Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added 21 assists for the Pioneers.
Voltolina had eight kills and four blocks for Carroll against UW-La Crosse. Mueller followed with five kills and seven digs, Dunnam had five blocks while Przeslicke collected two service aces and 11 assists.
