(Ripon, Wis.) – For three quarters the Carroll University women's basketball team appeared to be on their way to a big Midwest Conference road victory over Ripon College. But, the Red Hawks outscored the Pioneers 20-7 in the fourth quarter for a come-from-behind 62-53 victory over CU.
Carroll stormed out of the gates, leading 14-5 after the first quarter then holding a 26-23 advantage at halftime. Carroll led 46-42 at the start of the fourth quarter but the Red Hawks came to life in the fourth quarter to steal the victory.
Carroll struggled from the field for the game, connecting on just 28.8% of its field goal attempts.
Malory Christenson led Carroll with 20 points while Brittney Wald added 12 points and seven rebounds.
