(Waukesha, Wis.) – The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost its season opener to the University of Dallas. The visitors overcame an early deficit before recording an 11-3 victory.
Edward Weizenicker scored the game's opening goal at 3:52 to give CU a 1-0 lead. UD tied the score less than two minutes later but Paul Kerchberger struck for the Pioneers at 9:15 for a 2-1 lead.
Dallas then went on to score nine unanswered goals to lead 10-2 before Kerchberger notched his second goal of the day at the 52:48 mark. UD netted the game's final goal with under two minutes to play.
Carroll goalkeepers combined for 19 saves on the afternoon. John Annand recorded 14 saves while Dakota Hwilka added five.
