(Kissimmee, Fla.) – The Carroll University softball team lost both games on Monday while on its annual Spring Break trip to Florida.
The Pioneers fell to Widener University by a score of 8-1 in the morning then lost a 6-1 decision to Bluffton University later in the day.
Against Widener, Carroll mustered just six hits while committing three defensive errors. Emma Fionda led CU's struggling offense with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate while Kelly Strasser went 1-for-3 with one run driven in.
The Pioneers committed just one error against Bluffton but still had cold bats in the afternoon as they recorded just five hits. Strasser again went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
