(Waukesha, Wis.) – On a crazy, snow-filled spring afternoon, the Carroll University women's lacrosse team outlasted the University of Dallas for a thrilling 11-10 victory.
The Pioneers overcame a one-goal halftime deficit (6-5) to earn their third victory of the season.
Carroll has come out of the locker room strong after halftime in recent weeks after stern talks from head coach Michael Hodge, and did so again today. CU quickly turned a 6-5 deficit into a 7-6 lead in the opening five minutes of the second half.
Kailey Lewahy leds Carroll with four goals while Ariannah Ritter added three.
Shelby Will was spectacular in goal for Carroll, recording 16 saves in the victory.
