IRVING, Texas - The Carroll University women's lacrosse team suffered a 10-3 loss to University of Puget Sound in its spring break trip finale at the University of Dallas' Crusader Field on Friday evening.
It was the third nonconference road loss of the season for Carroll, which went 0-2 on its trip and dropped to 1-4 overall.
Puget Sound, which improved to 3-2 overall, outscored the Pioneers 8-2 in the first half - including five unanswered goals over the course of the opening 13 minutes.
Freshman attacker Darby Henjum (Rosemount, Minn.) contributed two unassisted goals for Carroll, which was outshot 43-12 - highlighted by a 28-8 shot-on-goal margin. Sophomore midfielder Ariannah Ritter (Sun Prairie, Wis.) had the other goal for the Pioneers.
Sophomore goalkeeper Shelby Schoob (Sun Prairie, Wis.) registered 18 saves in playing the entire 60 minutes.
Senior attacker Meghan Bacher, junior attacker Roxanne Krietzman, sophomore midfielder/attacker Hannah Nichols and sophomore defender Ali Walker each scored two goals for Puget Sound.
