RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Graduate attacker Donna January (Andower, Minn.) and junior attacker Betty Koenig (Sun Prairie, Wis.) each scored two unassisted goals but the Carroll University women's lacrosse team lost to Concordia University Chicago 13-5 in a nonconference game Sunday.
It was the eighth consecutive loss for the Pioneers, who dropped to 1-9 overall.
Concordia-Chicago, which improved to 4-8 overall, outscored Carroll 9-2 in the first half - including four unanswered goals in the opening 14 minutes.
Sophomore midfielder Katie Majewski (Mundelein, Ill.) had the other goal for the Pioneers, who were outshot 27-21 - highlighted by 16-9 shot-on-goal advantage in the first half.
Sophomore goalkeeper Shelby Schoob (Sun Prairie, Wis.) registered nine saves in playing the entire way.
