NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Freshman midfielder Dannon Ivey (Grass Valley, Calif.) scored his 17th goal of the season on an unassisted shot in the third quarter as the Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to North Central College 23-1 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was the fifth straight conference loss for the Pioneers, who dropped to 0-5 in the league standings and 4-11 overall.
North Central, which improved to 2-3 in conference and 10-4 overall, scored 11 unanswered goals in the first half - including five in the opening quarter.
Sophomore attackman Tanner James and freshman attackman Danny Boyle each scored six goals for the Cardinals, who outshot Carroll by a 68-10 margin.
Freshman goalkeeper Abe Escrada (Sammamish, Wash.) registered 24 saves in playing the entire way for Carroll.
