Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) contributed a team-high 11 kills as the Carroll University women's volleyball team defeated Macalester College 20-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-23 in the first round of the season-opening St. Olaf-Carleton Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Junior middle blocker
Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) followed with seven kills and two blocks for Carroll, which amassed 46 kills and 14 service aces in the head-to-head dual-meet competition. Freshman middle blocker
Melanie Barrios (Bolingbrook, Ill.) collected five kills, freshman outside hitter
Sam Penzkowski (Racine, Wis.) had five aces and junior outside hitter
Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) had 17 digs with four aces for the Pioneers.Â

Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) had 14 assists and sophomore setter/libero
Jennilyn Joy Cave (Bolingbrook, Ill.) added 13 assists.
