RIPON, Wis. - Sophomore outside hitter
Sydney Wilkins (Portage, Ind.) had a team-high 11 kills and 11 digs as the Carroll University women's volleyball team swept host Ripon College 25-15, 25-21, 25-22 to cap the opening day of competition at the Red Hawk Invitational on Friday evening.
It was the second sweep of the season for Carroll, which improved to 4-7 overall.
Junior middle blocker
Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) contributed seven kills, six blocks and a service ace for the Pioneers, who generated 10 blocks, 40 assists and 50 digs in the dominant outing. Freshman middle blocker
Melanie Barrios (Bolingbrook, Ill.) followed with six kills and three blocks.
Junior defensive specialist
Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) collected 15 digs, sophomore outside hitter
Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) had five kills and 12 digs for Carroll. Sophomore setter
Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added 25 assists.
Ripon dropped to 3-8 overall.
