ALMA, Mich. - Freshman midfielder Michaela Johnson (Mukwonago, Wis.) scored a team-high five goals to lead the Carroll University women's lacrosse team to a 15-9 victory over Alma College in a nonconference game at Bahlke Field on Saturday afternoon.

Junior midfielder Ariannah Ritter (Sun Prairie, Wis.), freshman midfielder Alyssa Scharff (Nashotah, Wis.) and freshman midfielder Clara Jelacic (Waukesha, Wis.) each contributed a hat trick for the Pioneers, who outshot Alma 48-16 in the contest - highlighted by a 40-13 shot-on-goal advantage. Freshman midfielder Courtenay Karls (Waukesha, Wis.) added the other goal and two assists.
Junior goalkeeper Shelby Schoob (Sun Prairie, Wis.) registered four saves in playing the entire 60 minutes for Carroll, which capitalized on 11 free-position shots.
