ROCHESTER, Minn. - Sophomore left fielder
Rosalie Jrolf (Dousman, Wis.) drove in what became the winning run on a ground out in the top of the third inning as the Carroll University softball team defeated Gustavus Adolphus College 3-2 in a nonconference game to begin the second day of the Luther Dome Games at the RCTC Dome on Sunday afternoon.
Junior center fielder
Rosie Craine (Wheaton, Ill.) scored the game-winner after leading off the inning with a single to right field and advancing to third on a ground-rule double by junior right fielder
Annika Graves (Muskego, Wis.).
Craine and freshman catcher
Allyssa Demma (Mayville, Wis.) each went 2-for-3 to power an eight-hit attack for Carroll, which improved to 2-1 overall.
The Pioneers trailed 2-0 after the first inning but answered with two runs in the top of the second as Demma scored as the result of an error and sophomore third baseman
Lexy Kemnitzer (McFarland, Wis.) stole home to tie the game - setting the stage for Jrolf's clutch hit.
Sophomore right-hander
Amanda Osterhus (Munster, Ind.) pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks to earn a complete-game victory.
Gustavus Adolphus dropped to 1-3 overall.
