Michaela Johnson contributed a game-high five goals and an assist to lead the Carroll University women's lacrosse team to a 14-8 victory over Loras College in a nonconference showdown at the Rock Bowl on Wednesday night.
The gritty performance on the road equaled a program-record for victories in a season for Carroll, which remained undefeated with a 4-0 record.
The high-powered Pioneers led 9-6 with 24:02 remaining in the second half and put the game away by scoring four unanswered goals over a key 12-minute stretch.
Johnson, a 5-foot-5 freshman midfielder from Mukwonago, Wis. who reached the five-goal mark for the second time and has 16 goals on the season, scored three times in the second half.

Clara Jelacic (Waukesha, Wis.) followed with a hat trick for the high-octane Pioneers, who outshot Loras by a 28-22 margin - maintaining a 19-14 shot-on-goal advantage.Â
