Allyssa Demma (Orland Park, Ill.) went 2-for-2 with two singles and a stolen base as the Carroll University softball team lost to Tufts University 7-1 in a nonconference game to conclude its second day of the PFX Spring Games at Hancock Park on Sunday afternoon.

Annika Graves (Muskego, Wis.) followed with two hits and scored in the top of the fifth inning for Carroll, which dropped to 1-3 on its Spring Break trip and 3-5 overall. Sophomore starting pitcherÂ
Lexy Kemnitzer (McFarland, Wis.) had the other hit for the Pioneers, who stranded nine baserunners.
Tufts, which pounded out 10 hits, scored four unanswered runs in what became a decisive bottom of the second.
Kemnitzer took the loss, yielding two earned runs on five hits with two strikeouts and two walks through four complete innings.
