CLERMONT, Fla. - Junior right fielder
Annika Graves (Muskego, Wis.) drove in a run on an RBI double to center field in the top of the seventh inning but the Carroll University softball team lost to Calvin College 2-1 to cap its fifth day of the PFX Spring Games at Hancock Park on Thursday afternoon.
It was the second one-run loss of the season and snapped a four-game winning streak for Carroll, which dropped to 5-5 on its Spring Break trip and 7-7 overall.
Calvin collected the first run of the contest on a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth and came through with the winning run on an RBI single in the sixth.
Sophomore right-hander
Amanda Osterhus (Munster, Ind.) was the losing pitcher, allowing two earned runs on five hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk through six innings.
