CLERMONT, Fla. - Junior right fielder
Annika Graves (Muskego, Wis.) drove in the winning run on an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning to lead the Carroll University softball team to a 2-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Superior to open the final day of the PFX Spring Games at Hancock Park on Friday morning.
It was the third one-run victory of the season for Carroll, which improved to 6-5 on its Spring Break trip and 8-7 overall.
Carroll, which won in extra innings for the first time this year, scored the first run of the contest in the second on an RBI single by sophomore designated hitter

UW-Superior tied the game on a run-scoring single in the fourth.
Sophomore right-hander
Lexy Kemnitzer (McFarland, Wis.) was the winning pitcher, yielding one earned run on five hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk in going the distance.
Senior Macy Hanson scattered seven hits with four strikeouts and one walk in taking a complete-game loss for UW-Superior, which dropped to 4-11 overall.
