WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's lacrosse team defeated Monmouth College 17-1 in a nonconference game at Schneider Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The dominant performance equaled a program record for goals in a single game for Carroll, which improved to 3-0 overall.
The relentless victory took on added significance as it was the first three-game winning streak in team history.
Freshman midfielder
Clara Jelacic (Waukesha, Wis.) contributed five goals and two assists to lead the Pioneers, who scored 12 unanswered goals in the first half - including four within the opening 10 minutes of the contest.
Jelacic's seven-point effort tied a team record for points in a game in the process.
Junior midfielder
Ariannah Ritter (Sun Praire, Wis.) also had five goals in the rout for the Pioneers, who outshot Monmouth 38-12 - including a 30-10 shot-on-goal advantage.
Freshman midfielder
Michaela Johnson (Mukwonago, Wis.) scored four goals for Carroll, which converted five free-position shots. Freshman midfielder

Kendra Skinner (De Pere, Wis.) added one.
Junior goalkeeper
Shelby Schoob (Sun Prairie, Wis.) registered nine saves in playing the entire 60 minutes for the Pioneers, who have combined to outscore their first three opponents by a 45-11 margin.
Sophomore attacker Kara-Jade Gordon scored the lone goal for Monmouth, which dropped to 1-2 overall.
