WAUKESHA, Wis. - Freshman attackman
Airik Ranjo (San Diego, Calif.) scored two unassisted goals but the Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to Carthage College 21-5 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin home-field finale at Schneider Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was a conference-high goal total for Carroll, which dropped to 0-5 in the league standings and 2-11 overall.
Carthage, which improved to 3-2 in league and 11-5 overall, outscored the Pioneers 12-2 in the first half - maintaining a 9-2 margin in the opening quarter.
The Red Men scored four unanswered goals within the opening five minutes.

Jeff Schultz (Franklin, Wis.) each added a goal for Carroll, which was outshot 54-10 - including a 35-7 shot-on-goal margin.Â

Nicholas Amerongen (Woodburg, Minn.) each had an assist.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Abe Escarda (Sammamish, Wash.) registered 14 saves in playing the entire 60 minutes.
It was the final home game for senior defender
