LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team defeated St. John Fisher College 25-21, 20-25, 25-15, 25-15 in a nonconference dual meet to cap the final day of competition at the Lake Forest Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
It was the third consecutive victory of the young season for Carroll, which finished 3-1 in the two-day tournament.
Junior outside hitter
Sydney Wilkins (Portage, Ind.) had a team-high 12 kills and 15 digs to help lead the Pioneers. Senior outside hitter
Josie Wierzal (Frankfort, Ill.) contributed nine kills with sophomore middle blocker
Rachel Noonan (Crystal Lake, Ill.) following with eight kills and three blocks.
Senior defensive specialist
Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) had 21 digs and nine assists for Carroll, which generated 45 kills, eight service aces, six blocks and 43 assists. Junior setter
Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) collected 17 assists with junior setter
Jennilyn Joy Cave (Bolingbrook, Ill.) adding two aces, 13 digs and16 assists.
Freshman outside hitter Alea Steigerwald had nine kills and 24 digs for St. John Fisher, which dropped to 0-4 overall.
