RIPON, Wis. - Junior outside hitter
Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) had a team-high 10 kills, 11 digs and four service aces as the Carroll University women's volleyball team swept Wisconsin Lutheran College 25-17, 25-16, 25-20 in a nonconference dual meet to open the first day of competition at the Red Hawk Invitational on Friday afternoon.
It was the first three-set victory of the season for Carroll, which improved to 5-4 overall.
Junior outside hitter
Sydney Wilkins (Portage, Ind.) followed with seven kills, nine digs and an ace for the Pioneers, who connected on 13 kills with a powerful .407 hitting percentage and committed only two errors in the momentum-building first set. Senior outside hitter
Josie Wierzal (Frankfort, Ill.) contributed five kills with senior middle blocker
Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) collecting four kills, eight digs and an ace.

Senior outside hitter Britley Grulke had a team-best 12 kills, 11 digs and an ace for Wisconsin Lutheran, which dropped to 5-5 overall.Â
