WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to No. 17-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 26-24, 25-23, 25-22 in a nonconference dual meet to cap its own Pioneer Triangular at Van Male Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The frustrating home-court loss snapped an impressive string of 10-straight dual victories for Carroll, which dropped to 14-5 overall.
Junior middle blocker
Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) contributed a team-high 10 kills for the Pioneers, who generated 39 kills with a .204 hitting percentage but committed 17 errors in the contest. Junior outside hitter
Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) followed with eight kills and 18 digs.
Senior outside hitter
Josie Wierzal (Frankfort, Ill.) collected seven kills while senior middle blocker
Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) had six kills, three blocks and two service aces. Junior outside hitter
Kylie Mueller (Fox Lake, Ill.) had four blocks, senior defensive specialist
Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) had 13 digs and junior setter
Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added 15 assists.Â
Senior middle hitter Madelyn Pashibin had 15 kills for UW-Eau Claire, which claimed its 11th consecutive victory and improved to 16-1 overall.
