STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Junior outside hitter
Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) had a team-high 10 kills, eight digs and a service ace as the Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point 25-12, 25-20, 25-18 to cap the final day of competition at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational at Berg Gym on Saturday afternoon.
It was the fourth nonconference dual road loss of the season for Carroll, which finished with a 1-2 record in the challenging invitational and dropped to 4-4 overall.
Junior middle blocker
Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) followed with five kills and three blocks for the Pioneers. Senior middle blocker
Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) contributed four kills and two blocks, senior defensive specialist
Trystam Carr (Charlottesville, Va.) had 15 digs and junior setter
Jennilyn Joy Cave (Bolingbrook, Ill.) added 10 assists.
Junior outside hitter April Gehl had 11 kills, 10 digs, four blocks and two assists for UW-Stevens Point, which improved to 4-4 overall.
The Pointers maintained an efficient, balanced offensive attack throughout the match - generating 39 kills, eight aces and nine blocks with a .238 hitting percentage.
