Carroll finishes 0-2 in challenging weekend competition

Pioneers fall to UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout in Concordia University of Wisconsin Quad

MEQUON, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to the University of Wisconsin-Stout 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 to cap the Concordia University of Wisconsin quadrangular Saturday afternoon.
It was the sixth four-set loss of the season for Carroll, which finished 0-2 in the competition and dropped to 14-13 overall.
Senior outside hitter Kylie Mueller (Fox Lake, Wis.) and junior middle blocker Rachel Noonan (Crystal Lake, Ill.) each contributed a team-high eight kills for Carroll, which generated 13 kills and committed only four errors in its third-set victory. Senior outside hitter Sydney Wilkins (Portage, Ind.) followed with seven kills, senior opposite hitter/middle blocker Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) collected a team-best six blocks and senior outside hitter Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) had 19 digs.
Senior setter Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added two service aces and 20 assists for the Pioneers, who lost in five sets to UW-Stevens Point in the opening round.
