ELMHURST, Ill. - The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to Elmhurst College 27-4 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin opener at Langhorst Field on Saturday afternoon.
It was the fourth consecutive road loss for Carroll, which dropped to 0-10 overall.
Junior attackman
Jeff Schultz (Franklin, Wis.) scored two goals for the Pioneers, who were outscored 18-1 in the first half - including five unanswered goals over the course of the opening 11 minutes of the opening quarter.
Junior defender
Ian McClintock (Reno, Nevada) and freshman midfielder
Danny McGee (Rockford, Ill.) each added a goal for Carroll, which was outshot 73-14 in the contest. Junior midfielder
Christopher Bechtel (Sammamish, Wash.) contributed two assists and senior attackman
Paul Kerchberger (Deer Park, Ill.) had one.

Abe Escarda (Sammamish, Wash.) and freshman
Thomas Atella (Crystal Lake, Ill.) each played a half at goalkeeper, combining to register 25 saves.
Senior attackman Mac Harden and sophomore attackman/midfielder Marcus Yandall each scored five goals to lead Elmhurst, which improved to 6-4 overall.
