WAUKESHA, Wis. -
Clara Jelacic contributed an individual season-high seven goals, nine draw controls, five ground balls, two caused turnovers and two assists to lead the Carroll University women's lacrosse team to a 19-4 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin in a cold, rain-soaked nonconference game at Schneider Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was the fourth consecutive home-field victory of the early season for Carroll, which improved to 4-1 overall with the St. Patrick's Day effort.
The Pioneers outscored CUW 16-2 in the opening half, powered by 13 unanswered goals over the course of the final 20 minutes.
The dominant performance extended Carroll's home-field winning streak to seven games dating back to February 26, 2020 (a 21-7 nonconference victory over Beloit College in the home opener).
The Pioneers have combined to outscore their last four opponents 72-22, powered by a 53-8 margin in the first half.
