LAST MEETING: 3/10 and 3/14/20.  Carroll and Rockford faced off twice in Florida during last year's COVID shortened season.  Carroll took the first meeting 3-0 as Zach Tuss, Brendan Charette, Drew McDermid, Curtis Sheahan and Jake Nitch combined for the shut-out on the mound.  Rockford bounced back to take the second game 7-3 in what ended up being the final game of the 2020 season. 

PIONEERS TO WATCH
OFFENSE: Nick Angus (SO, OF, Darien, Ill.) has made the most of his opportunities in what has become a short-handed offensive unit.  Angus provided the spark in the Pios six run inning last night versus third ranked North Central with a three-run homerun in the seventh inning.

PITCHING: Jake NItch (JR, RHP, Gurnee, Ill.) has been lights-out in the Carroll bullpen this year.  Nitch has a 0.00 ERA with five strike outs in his two appearances this season.
