DUBUQUE, Iowa -
Airik Ranjo contributed a team-high three goals and an assist as the Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to University of Dubuque 15-8 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Oyen Field on Saturday afternoon.
It was a season-high single-game goal total for Carroll, which demonstrated its progress and growth but dropped to 0-4 in league.
The Pioneers were outscored 12-4 in the momentum-shifting first half, including a key 8-1 margin in the opening quarter.
Cordell McNamara followed with two goals with
Zach Mehrtens,
Spencer Lautner and
Josh Kovach each adding a goal for Carroll.
Danny McGee had a team-best four assists, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Ethan Dillon won five face offs.
Abe Escarda registered 21 saves in playing the entire 60 minutes.
Tanner Weis scored a game-high five goals for Dubuque, which improved to 1-4 in conference and 5-8 overall.
