Fond Du Lac, Wis. – The Carroll University women's golf team competed in the first dual match of the season, taking on the St. Norbert Knights in Fond Du Lac at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Thursday afternoon. The women nearly matched its season low, by shooting a 379 and defeating the Knights 4-0.
 
In her first collegiate match, Freshman Shaelynn Feuerstein tied for second with a 94. She recorded a 45 on the back nine only scoring a double bogey on one hole.
 
Three Pios tied with a 95 and tied for fourth place, Ashlyn Burdick, Emma Meiss, and Abby Van De Hei. 95 is a season-best for Meiss and Van De Hei. Caroline Kroeninger finished in seventh place with a 97.
 
Alaina Aschenbrenner (98, 8^th), Gabrielle Kleist (103, 11th), and Lauren Alioto (109, 14th) all golfed as individuals, and recorded season bests.
 
The Pioneers jump into the CCIW Preview next week Tuesday, April 13, hosted at Oak Brook Golf Club in Oak Brook, Illinois.
