OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team went 0-2 in the Politos Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday.
Carroll, 1-7 overall, dropped its opening dual to Wisconsin Lutheran College in five sets 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 25-27, 15-12 and fell to St. Norbert College 25-16, 25-9, 25-21 in the finale.
DUAL 1
Katie Jensen registered 12 kills, 10 digs, five blocks and one assist in the inspired, hard-fought opener against Wisconsin Lutheran.
Peyton Frost contributed 10 kills and two blocks with
Ashley Konecki chipping in eight kills, five blocks and a service ace.
Emily Schliesman had 24 digs and 39 assists.
Kloe Longtin added 22 digs, three aces and three assists.
The Pioneers, who finished with 46 kills, 44 assists, 91 digs, nine blocks and eight aces, registered 14 kills with just five errors in winning both the second and third games.
DUAL 2
Jensen contributed six kills, six digs and a block versus St. Norbert.
Frost followed with four kills and Konecki collected three kills for the Pioneers, who finished with 19 kills, 41 digs, 18 assists, three blocks and three service aces.
Cathleen Flannery had nine digs and two aces with Schliesman adding nine assists.
