WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Spencer Kirsteatter won in a time of 25 minutes, 34.2 seconds to lead the Carroll University men's cross country team to second place at the nine-team Wisconsin Private College Championships (hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College) at Greenfield Park on Saturday.
Carroll, which placed five runners within the top 20 in the eight-kilometer competition, totaled 50 points finishing seven points behind team champion Ripon College.
Charles Quast finished seventh (26:24.1), Austin Sanderfoot followed in 12th (27:16.5), Peter Carty took 13th (27:37.5) and Nathan Raatz was 17th (27:48.9) to round out the top five individual finishers for the Pioneers.
