KENOSHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to fierce, intra-state rival Carthage College 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 25-16 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual meet at Tarble Arena on Saturday evening.
It was the third four-set conference loss for Carroll, which dropped to 0-4 in the highly contested league standings and 8-10 overall.
Katie Jensen contributed a team-high 12 kills, five digs and three blocks for the Pioneers, who generated 12 kills with only four errors and .242 hitting percentage in winning the third set.
Peyton Frost followed with 12 kills, 14 digs and two service aces.
Kaitlin Gawelski finished with 11 kills for Carroll, which had 49 kills, 10 aces, seven blocks, 57 digs and 47 assists.
Maggie McGough had five aces, 18 digs and six assists.Â
Rebekah Andreae registered four blocks and
Cora Riffle added 20 assists.
Liv Carel finished with 15 kills and two blocks for Carthage, which improved to 3-1 in conference and 13-4 overall.
