ELMHURST, Ill. - The Carroll University men's tennis team experienced another setback as it lost to Elmhurst 9-0 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual meet at Brune Tennis Courts on Friday afternoon.
It was the second conference road loss for Carroll, which dropped to 0-5 in the league standings and 1-11 overall.
The Pioneers' most intriguing match came at No. 5 singles as Ben Pierson lost to Elmhurst's Russell Reyes 6-4, 6-2.
Pierson, a junior from Janesville, Wis.,  has an individual season record of 4-8 in dual competition and 5-10 overall.
