DE PERE, Wis. – The Carroll University men's track and field team finished second with 219 points in the St. Norbert Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Peter Marra,
Zach Benes,
Trenton Nickel,
Nathan Raatz, Charlie Quast,
Max Campbell, and Jimmy Hinkley all won at least one event. Hinkley re-set his Carroll school record in the hammer throw in his victory.
In track events, Marra won two events on the afternoon. In the 110-meter hurdles, Mara sprinted to first with a 15.42 final time. In the 400-meter hurdles, Marra's time of 55.55 seconds won the event by four seconds, which was just in front of
Augustus Herman. Benes won the 1500-meter run event in 4:02.50.

River Sterud,
Riley McDade,
Caleb Jacques-Hembree, and
Cooper Albert all added team-points in the event finishing in the top-eight. Nickel won the 400-meter dash by two seconds, and
Matthew Clavijo finished eighth to add a point to the Carroll total. Four Pioneers including
Patrick Send,
Sheldon Achs,
Troy Burkert, and
Logan Froseth added 14 of the team's points in the 100-meter dash. Raatz won the 800-meter run by two seconds with a time of 1:56.42, and
Drew Bolender finished inside the top eight. Nickel, Burkert, Send, and Froseth all finished top-eight in the 200-meter dash. Quast won the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:14.31, which was just in front of
Austin Sanderfoot. The men's 4x400 team of Herman, Burkert, Clavijo, and
Jacob Radovan finished second in the event.
In field events, Campbell won the shot put by over a full meter with a throw of 13.40 meters. Hinkley finished sixth in the same event. Campbell, Hinkley, and
Juan Ocampo finished top-eight in the discus throw event, with Campbell picking up the silver medal. Hinkley, re-set his record with a throw of 55.25 meters, which puts him 11
th in the nation. Ocampo, Campbell, and
Noah Streveler added points in the event. Streveler, Nickel, Froseth, and Campbell scored 14 points for the Pioneers in the Javelin.
David Burgess and
Marshawn Fullilove both added to the team points in both the triple jump and the high jump events.
