NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Spencer Kirsteatter finished third overall in a team-best time of 25:45.6 as the Carroll University men's cross country team placed ninth in the 23-team St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday morning.
Charles Quast was 31st (26:56.9) for Carroll, which totaled 262 points in the challenging eight-kilometer race.
Peter Carty followed in 52nd (27:30.2),
Austin Sanderfoot placed 85th (28:30.4) and
Nathan Raatz was 91st (28:54.4) to round out the top-five individuals for the Pioneers.
St. Olaf won the competition with 42 points, placing all five runners within the top 13 in the field.
